Why Is It So Important To Build A Network?
One of the main reasons why people go into Internet Marketing is simply because they want more freedom and also the potential ability to quit their jobs and work from home.

Social Media
If you’re not yet on Twitter or Facebook, drop everything and set up accounts with those two social media giants. Then, take some time to learn how to use them correctly. You can very quickly build large networks on both of those social networking sites, and on a number of others as well. With a little effort you can also find yourself involved in conversations with some of the Internet marketing big shots.
Forums
An easy to start networking with other Internet marketers is to join business forums where you will find people with all levels of experience. Forums are designed to make it easy to ask questions and also to share some experiences.
Do make sure that you limit the amount of time you spend on any forum so that it doesn’t stop you from concentrating on all your other business activities. If you focus on contributing one or two posts, or on helping one or two people on the forum each time you log in, it can be a good way to interact with other marketers and build up an Internet-based network.
Live Events
One very useful way to network is to go to live events. Plenty of marketers out there will explain that they got their start through live events or because a seminar taught them how to get from frustration to success. It is often helpful to speak to people in person and get to know them better. You may be surprised to find that there are live events taking place in your community, or in a nearby town.
A good way to find local groups is to register with http://www.meetup.com – if there are no Internet marketing or home-business groups, you can always start one.
Follow-Up
If you sign up for live events, remember to get the contact details of anybody you connected. After the event, make a point of telephoning your new contacts, or connecting with them via skype. That will help you to cement your new relationships, which could lead to lots of newopportunities in the future.
A positive approach to networking will open many doors as you’re introduced to friends of your contacts and this can only help your business to grow. Social media features a lot of options for networking and interaction.
