Reciprocal linking is nothing new, but it is not the preferred method today. Many websites do not even have a links page, and even fewer make it easy for you
to set up a link trade.

When done properly, reciprocal links do have value. However, they are not as valuable as one-way inbound links, which are generally given more
weight by the search engines.
So, if a way could be found to combine a form of reciprocal linking with the weight of one-way inbound links, you would be able to combine the
convenience of the former with the influence of the latter.

What happens is that someone sets up a three-party system consisting of 3 pods. Pod A link to sites in Pod B, Pod B links to sites in Pod C and
Pod C links to sites in Pod A. That way, everybody in the co-operative gets one way Links by reciprocating at one remove from each other!
The three "pods" (i.e. three different html pages) are then distributed to the co-operative, one pod per person. Each pod is loaded with different
links and site information details. Each member adds the code to his website, preferably on the front page, and ideally adding some unique and relevant content
above the links, to offer the search engines a rich feast of fresh and original material.
"Third party one-way linking" offers an innovative solution to the problems of reciprocal linking, provided someone is willing to stand in the middle
of the triangle and set it up.
