One Internet marketing strategy that I like to use, which is very easy to use and great for beginners is traffic exchanges.
A lot of people use traffic exchanges but don’t have much luck with them.

3 Tips About How To Sell Advertising On Your Website
In this video, Evan Carmichael looks at how to sell advertising on your website and offers three key tips.
The 3 tips are about:

- how to find higher CPC keywords for your Google Adsense ads, and
- how to get more fresh content onto your website.
The video includes a very useful section in which Evan demonstrates how to use the Google Keywords Tool to target keywords with a higher CPC to increase your clickthrough revenue.
Here’s an extra tip about checking cost per click on the Google Keyword Tool: The Cost Per Click (CPC) column on the Google Keyword Tool is hidden by default so you have to turn it on to see it. To do that, you first need to be logged in to your Google account. Then click the “Columns” button on the right and check the “Approximate CPC” box.

How To Sell Advertising On Your Website – Evan’s 3 Tips
1. Keep your website up to date
If you are trying to attract advertisers to your website, you always want to have up to date content that will be of interest to their target market. In the video we see a website about business in Zambia that has not been recently updated and is therefore unlikely to attract advertisers.
2. Use the Google Keyword Tool
The Google Keyword Tool will allow you to type in any keyword and tell you the different advertising rates for it.
For example, in the video, Evan searches for keywords relating to Zambia. Then, he checks the right hand side columns for the approximate CPC revenue likely to be generated from keywords relating to Zambia.
Evan advises that you try to target an American audience as they tend to have the highest CPC, and he shows you exactly how to do that in the video. For example, if you have a website related to starting a business in Zambia, you could target an America audience instead of a Zambian audience to attract higher clickthrough rates.
3. Try to think about how to outsource your content
Keeping your website updated with fresh, good quality, relevant content is a good way to attract potential advertisers and make it much more likely that you will sell advertising on your website.
However, your time is limited so you will only be able to produce so many good quality articles per month. One thing you could do is outsource your article writing to a professional article writer. Another thing you can do is to invite guest bloggers to post articles on your site for you, just as Evan does on the EvanCarmichael.com article directory.

College Graduates: Should You Get A Job Or Start A Business?
Here’s another video tip by Evan Carmichael in which he answers a question sent in to him by a recent business college graduate who wants to know whether he should get a job or start a business.
Evan’s key message is that you should “trust in your heart and follow your intuition.”
Also, if you’ve just graduated and really want to start a new business, then “take a year out” and give it your best shot.
If it doesn’t work out you can still go back to the job market as those opportunities will still be there if your business plans don’t work out…
