Time Management Techniques That You Need For Internet Marketing
If you want to achieve great things in the internet marketing world, you first must learn how to manage your time well. By applying a few simple time management techniques, such as the ones we’ll be covering below, you’ll find that you can get a lot more accomplished each and every day.
Keep A Daily To Do List
An important factor that you need to focus on in order to manage your time effectively is getting things done on a regular basis. That is correct, if you do not want to deal with being overwhelmed with too much work or losing your grip, then creating a To Do List is essential.
A To Do List helps you to complete your tasks according to their priority level and gives you a good indication of what you should be doing. Nobody can do everything, which is why setting your priorities will make it easier to handle the most pressing tasks first.
Keeping everything on the brain and not writing it down will cause you to lose focus and mess with your concentration. You should put in on paper so that you have a clear picture of what needs to be done on a daily basis as you get to your main goal.
The best time to write your To Do List is in the evening, planning for the next day’s activities.
Keep A “NOT To Do” List
It is also worth adding a few things NOT to do to your list, just to remind yourself that when running an online business you don’t want to be wasting your time watching television, chatting, reading gossip, or non-business-related social networking.
Set Breaks At Regular Intervals
Of course, you should not be too hard on yourself. In fact, it makes good sense to reward yourself with a 15 minute break after every 90-120 minutes of work. You can set aside some of your favourite non-business activities for those time slots – IF you have the discipline to get back to work when your allocated break time is over…
Only Check Email Occasionally
If you’re like most marketers, you get a large volume of email, not only every day, but every hour. Email can be quite distracting if you can’t resist clicking on your inbox (or perhaps inboxes, if you have several accounts) several times per hour.
You can easily eliminate this distraction, but it takes a certain amount of resolve – limit your email checking to only twice every day, and NOT first thing in the morning: that time should be allocated to getting the day’s big task out of the way.
Even though in the beginning you’ll probably be tempted to break this rule, if you persist it will benefit you. The best times to check your email are at the middle of the morning and at the end of each day; more than this is really not necessary.
This will be one less distraction you have while you’re actually attending to the work you have to do, and you can forget about email during this time.
Outsource & Delegate
As your business grows, you’ll find that it helps to outsource and delegate as many tasks as you can. Aside from being a good time management strategy, this can make you feel more relaxed.
Trust me, it makes a big difference to your overall time management and it is worth paying someone to do the mundane stuff for you.
Mastering these and other time management techniques is a skill that all internet marketers should acquire.

Time Management Tactics For Your Business
Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least. – GOETHE
We all get the same 24 hours each day to play with, so why is it that some people seem to achieve so much more than others in the same amount of time?
Is it because they are tapping into some kind of supernatural power?
Or is it because they simply work harder?
Actually, their greater output has nothing to do with the supernatural. Nor does it have much to do with working harder.
The real secret to getting twice as much done in a day without working twice as hard or twice as long as others is good time management tactics.
Although learning good time management techniques does take some effort, you don’t have to be a genius to learn how to efficiently manage your time. In fact there are many geniuses out there who struggle to manage their time effectively and who end up being less productive than lesser mortals who have learned the key Super Tactics of Time Management Experts.
Discovering the secret time saving tactics of time management experts allows you to get much more done with much less effort. It also helps you to reduce the stress that accompanies having to handle several different projects at the same time. If you are looking for some quick tips to help you manage all your responsibilities without having to sacrifice too much, then here are some instant time management tips to help you improve your efficiency.
1. Take Notes – Time management experts take notes. They keep about them so that they can keep track of the day and check off the things they need to do as they do them.
Notebooks are also good productivity tools. They are useful not only for organizing your day but also for jotting down ideas as they come to you as well as for miscellaneous notes of things that crop up during the day which you might need to reference later on. You never know when a good idea will occur to you. So, if you are armed with a pen and paper – or an electronic organizer – you’ll be in a better position to capture your ideas and put them into action. This is especially true when you came up with an idea that could make your project move forward more easily and efficiently.
The fatal mistake most people commit is to think that they can delegate all the organizing and note-taking to memory. Unfortunately, just like you must have forgotten what you dreamt about last night, you are bound to forget whatever idea you whipped up a few days ago.
2. Break Down Big Problems – The best way to deal with a big problem is to break it down into smaller constituent parts. If you feel that a problem is too big to handle, then it probably is.
One of the biggest reasons why people are unable to handle large projects is their inability to divide them into smaller parts which have objectives that can be easily accomplished. But once you learn to break a problem into more manageable parts you’ll be able to set out a more accurate schedule of tasks, plan your budget more easily, and gain momentum towards accomplishing the whole project by taking it a step at a time.
3. Prioritize – One key time management tactic of the super experts is knowing how to prioritize. Good prioritization depends upon your understanding of your resource limits such as time, ene and money as well as thinking about which things are in most pressing need of completion. Allocating your available resources correctly is of paramount importance when managing your time.
4. Outsource – Another useful time management tactic to learn to use is to outsource some of your jobs to other people. This is the single most effective way of saving time and of getting more done to build your business. If frees up time for you to concentrate on the really important work of developing your business. Nowadays it is increasingly easy to find people to outsource your work to via the Internet using services such as Freelancer.com.
As I said, time management techniques will require some effort to perfect and you will need to invest some time in learning how to save time! However, it will be a worthwhile investment and you will appreciate that you absolutely have to set aside some time to plan the most effective use of time. If you do, it will prove to be well-worth the effort as good time management tactics will enable you to tackle any project with maximum efficiency.

Time Management Tip From IKEA’s Ingvar Kamprad
I’ve just watched a video about Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA and the eleventh wealthiest person in the world in 2010, according to Forbes magazine, with an estimated net worth of around US$23 billion.
The video one of Evan Carmichael‘s “Modelling the Masters” business videos.
Every video includes some “Action items” which give core advice from the business philosophy of the master entrepreneur featured on the video. We can use the tips as action items to help us develop our own business philosophy.
While watching the video, I was especially impressed with “Action Item #3“, which is one of the best “time management” tips I’ve ever heard. You could call it the “10 minute rule“.
Ingvar Kamprad states:
“Time is your most important resource. You can do SO MUCH in ten minutes. Ten minutes once gone, are gone for good. Ten minutes are not just a sixth of your hourly day, 10 minutes are a piece of yourself. Divide your life into 10 minute units and sacrifice as few of them as possible to meaningless activity.”
Here is the complete 7 minute video:
