Four Ways To Avoid Online Money Making Scams
When it comes to researching something, the Internet is the greatest invention ever. In terms of online money making opportunities there is no reason for you to ever be scammed.
Here are four ways you can avoid being caught by online money making scams:
1. Check out the company. Can you easily find out basic information such as their address, phone number, email address, and if they provide customer support?
Are they a member of any online services that protect consumers? A couple of common ones include Honest eOnline and COP.
You can also take a look at the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints filed against this particular opportunity. Depending on how new the business is you may be able to find this type of information.
2. Buy the product. This is especially true if you are going to join a MLM business or promote an affiliate product.
If you trust the product chances are you’ll feel good advertising it. If the company fulfills there obligations in terms of getting the product to you that helps make them more legitimate.
3. Ask for referrals. Go directly to other members rather than rely on the company or online research.
These are the people you want to talk to. No opportunity is 100% perfect, but if there are members who’ve been involved with this company for some time they will know whether it is a scam or not.
The company should be able to provide a contact list for you. You can also Google search and find websites that have been built to promote that opportunity.
Many times these are written in the form of a review and include a link back to the writers website page. This is a good way to find the contact information of the writer and you can go directly to them.
4. Only join a program with longevity. When in doubt avoid new opportunities.
Opportunities that have been around for a period of time have the longevity that only comes from being legitimate. Scam opportunities come and go all the time but very few last for a long period of time.
Again go with company names you are familiar with if you have any doubts. Amazon.com has offered an affiliate program for over 15 years.
Companies such as Amway and Avon and Amway have been around for over 50 years. There are plenty of ways to make money online with companies such as this.
To help you avoid online money making scams follow these 4 tips. Do your due diligence and be cautious before joining any online business opportunity.
