An experiment with Twitter on the Triiibes.com site has alerted me to a number of excellent blog posts...

What happened was that a group was set up for people who use Twitter. The members were then invited to submit the best of their blog-posts and one was chosen at random. The members of the group were then asked to read the winning post and Twitter it! The post-writer will then report back on what the result was.

I will let you know the result of the experiment, when it is published...

However, the experiment has also alerted me to a lot of excellent blog-posts and I thought I would mention some of them here over the next few days.

This is an entertaining post which uses the stereotypical image of a pirate as a metaphor for the successful entrepreneur.

The comparisons are laid out in a series of paragraphs, like a list, so it is also easy to read, and after you have read it you may find yourself thinking about other ways in which pirates and entrepreneurs could be compared...

What are the obstacles to success that are holding you back, preventing you from achieving your goals and denying you the breakthrough you are seeking?

Well, I believe I have covered most of the bases! None of them is necessarily an obstacle to success!

A Black Woman, Who Is A Teenager, A Single Mother, A Third World Civil War Refugee And A Muslim Immigrant to the UK, Struggling To Study In An Inner London School Where Alienation Is Rife And Teachers Demotivate Pupils, Got 5 "A's" In Her School GCSE Exams...

Because the result is apparently so remarkable that it made it into the Times newspaper!

The theme of my previous post was about how laughter is the best Internet marketing strategy. The funny thing was that it started off as no more than a brief introduction to an article by Bob Cox on "How to Find the Lighter Side of Life".

When I read the article I thought...

1. "This will be a great article for my blog."
   
2. "If I post this article it will save me time - I won't have to search for a theme or anything."
   
3. "I won't have to write anything more than a quick intro paragraph..."
   

Even someone with writer's block can write an intro to somebody else's article! Of course, what happened was that I got carried away with the theme and the introductory paragraph developed a life of its own, so I ended up with a complete blog post. Without realizing it, I had performed a feat of reverse psychology on myself. Funny, isn't it, how these things work! So, on the basis of that experience, here is my sure-fire "Internet marketing strategy tip for the chronically constipated writer"... (Hey, great keyword phrase - I bet I'll be on page 1 of Google for that particular bit of long tail!)

Internet Marketing Tip For Bloggers Suffering From Writer's Block

If you are suffering from writer's block, don't fight it! Just zoom over to your favourite article directory and find an article to post on your blog.

Just before you paste in the article, write an introduction to it. Anybody can write an introduction to an article! And who knows, before you can say "My-goodness-what's-going-on---I-can't-believe-Great-Britain-has-won-so-many-gold-medals-in-the-Beijing-Olympics", you might just find that you have churned out a perfectly acceptable blog post!

Last night I posted an article on my website that discusses imaginative ways for network marketers to improve their sales and recruiting techniques. The focus of the article then shifts to look at imaginative ways to offer educational or success motivational products and courses such as those offered by Success University.

I got the idea for the article after reading a story in the July edition of Success Express about how Success University Director, Haroon Sufi turned his membership of Success University to his advantage in the job market.

How are your website building skills?

If you can make simple sites using only html you can build up a nice income by offering "no frills" small business website development service, or basic website design services.

Then, you can add to your income by offering cheap website maintenance services, website SEO services and so on.

Let me give you a couple of examples of sites that I have recently made for Japanese clients here in Hiroshima:

These sites are VERY simple to build.

You can make between $20-$30 per month per website just by offering basic maintenance and uploading services, plus you can earn up to $10 per month per website from your webhost. They don't take long to set up, and once they are online, they take little maintenance.

For the six weeks from the beginning of June until the middle of July a group of forty or so Internet Marketers who are members of the amazing Pips Power Group competed to see who could make the most progress with their Internet business...

It was a great challenge and a very closely fought competition. I think everybody felt the heat at some stage in the competition. Some started strongly and faded, some plodded all the way through, and some suddenly broke into a gallop on the last lap!

I had a somewhat frustrating start as on Day 2 the telecom people cut off our connection without informing us that they were working on the line...
